About this Route
The Lara Beach route is an adventurous ride into the wild landscapes of the Akamas Peninsula, combining rugged gravel tracks, remote countryside and spectacular views of Cyprus’ western coastline. The journey towards Lara takes riders through an exposed, largely undeveloped landscape where the Mediterranean is rarely far from view.
Highlights
The highlight is Lara Beach, one of Cyprus’ most important protected nesting areas for loggerhead and green sea turtles. With uneven surfaces and some demanding sections, this is a route best suited to confident gravel or mountain-bike riders looking to combine adventure, coastal scenery, and the untouched character of Akamas.
