About this Route
The Salamiou Loop is a challenging 77.8 km road ride with around 1,280 m of climbing, taking riders from the coast into the peaceful hills of the Paphos countryside. The route climbs towards Salamiou, a traditional wine-growing village near the beautiful Diarizos Valley, with changing scenery of vineyards, orchards, valleys and small rural communities. With several distinct climbs, a high point of around 680 m, and long descents back towards the coast, this is an excellent choice for experienced riders looking for a substantial day combining climbing, quiet roads and authentic rural Cyprus.
